Product care

Silver is a precious, soft, malleable but lustrous metal. Therefor silver requires some proper cleaning from time to time. Especially when it hasn’t been worn in serious amount of time. With proper care, your favourite TAWO pieces will retain its elegance and quality for many generations.

How to take care
All our pieces are made with a premium commodity. Silver is a soft, malleable metal therefore you need to handle them with care. Our cuffs are not made for daily adjustments. Bending the cuffs on a regular base can make them do break eventually. TAWO cannot be held responsible for defects due to failure or damage caused by carelessness use, such as cracks from adjusting a bracelet with force, damages or scratches arising from daily use.

The best way to keep your items clean and shiny is by wearing them on regular basis. The human skin will keep them clean and cleanse them in a natural way. However, not wearing your silver bracelets for a longer time will oxidate your pieces a little bit. If you prefer them to be more shiny (instantly) you can alway polish them a little bit as stated below;
Keep your your original TAWO jewelry box, which you can use to storage all your silver wear.

How to clean
Use a small amount of jewelry cleaner on a soft cloth and gently rub silver item several times. Subsequently, rinse the silver thoroughly in warm water and dry out. This should get rid of any tarnish and increase brightness, leaving silver looking as good as new. AVOID chlorine and bleach as they tend to increase jewelry tarnishing. Once cleaned and polished, store your TAWO pieces properly and dry. Our black flannel bags will protect it from abrasion and offer a degree of tarnish prevention.

Rough black details
We use an oxidised finish in the ornamentation of our silver bracelets to make its decorative details stand out. Take care when cleaning the cuffs and rings, as this finish can be removed by overzealous cleaning and polishing your bracelets.
